Thank you for your interest in speaking at the Metro DC ATD Virtual Conference!

We appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge and support fellow Change Agents as we prepare for the future of work.

We are seeking proposals for a variety of engaging sessions:

Live breakout sessions: Ready to welcome learners to your virtual classroom? Live breakout sessions are 60-minute sessions delivered in a virtual classroom setting with greater levels of flexibility to offer an engaging experience.

Prerecorded breakout sessions: Do you want to share your knowledge without the pressure of a live audience? Prerecorded breakout sessions are 45-60-minute sessions that are recorded in advance and available on-demand for conference attendees to watch during and after the event.

Debut Series Sessions: Are you an early career practitioner or recently transitioned into the talent development field? The Debut Series is an opportunity for you to add a conference presentation to your resume. You will have the opportunity to prerecord a 20-30-minute session that will be featured as part of the conference program.

Lightning Sessions: Do you have an insight or idea that could change the future of work? Our Lightning Session features live talks during which you will have just five minutes to share your thoughts on trends or information with all of our conference attendees.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to be a Metro DC ATD chapter member to submit my proposal?

No, you do not need to be a Metro DC ATD chapter member to submit a proposal. However, the Conference Content working group may prioritize proposals submitted by chapter members in order to highlight knowledge from within our member community.

If I have never spoken at a conference before, do I have to submit a proposal for a Debut Series Session?

If you have never spoken at a conference before, we encourage you to submit your proposal for the Debut Series—but you are welcome to submit your proposal for consideration as a live session or a prerecorded session as well. The Debut Series may be a good fit for your session if you are looking to build your speaking portfolio or are worried you do not have enough content to fill an hour-long presentation.

Will my session be recorded?

Yes, all sessions will be recorded and made available to conference attendees for a limited time after the Virtual Conference concludes. Prerecorded sessions will be recorded before the event, and live sessions will be recorded during the event.

Who will attend the Metro DC ATD Virtual Conference?

Conference attendees may include chapter members and local talent development practitioners. Attendees will reflect early career practitioners, experienced professionals, and executive leaders. Your session does not need to address the needs of all audiences.

Can I submit more than one proposal?

Yes; you may submit up to two proposals. A separate proposal form must be submitted for each session.

How will my proposal be evaluated?

The Virtual Conference Content working group will evaluate all proposals using a pre-established rubric that is based on criteria outlined through the proposal submission form.
