We hear a lot about micro-learning and it’s benefits, however, how do we truly design effective micro-learning? At this ISD meeting, we will focus on transforming a traditional ILT design into a microlearning design. We will be joined by two trainers experienced in applying micro-learning in their roles. Doug Moudy and Regina Rabenhorst (bios below) will guide the group in designing learning objectives and session outlines for an ILT microlearning session.

Regina Rabenhorst, owner of and consultant for Triple Crown Results, is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) with over twelve years experience in needs assessment for both training and performance, training program and performance improvement design, delivery, and evaluation, e-learning course development, team development, change management, and organizational development. She has worked both in the US and around the world with numerous international project staff, in places such as Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Albania, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Philippines, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Costa Rica. She has conducted short-term consulting assignments for USAID and numerous international development organizations including Chemonics International, Engility, MSI, FHI360, Social Impact, TechnoServe, Urban Institute, and Winrock International, among others.

Doug Moudy is a learning and development professional with more than 15 years of experience serving clients in government, commercial, education, and non-profit organizations. After serving as the Metro DC Chapter of ATD Communities of Practice Director, he founded the DC ATD Community of Practice for Talent Development Technology, also known as the TD Tech CoP. Doug is a member of the 2017 ATD Association Leaders’ Conference (ALC) Program Advisory Committee. He has been responsible for leading enterprise-wide learning and development programs for clients including Fortune 500 and national non-profit organizations.
