In this Free Agent meeting, we focus on online marketing. Our speaker, Josh Greene of The Mather Group, will present 10 things you can do NOW to get more business, and will conduct a live review of the websites/online marketing of the attendees.  He'll explain how to get more traffic, what you should know about search engine optimization, and where to spend limited ad dollars. In the discussion portion of the meeting, Josh will answer any questions the attendees have concerning the world of online marketing.

Josh Greene runs The Mather Group, a digital agency, that helps companies manage how they’re found online, through Wikipedia and Search Engine Optimization, and drives targeted high value leads for B2B companies.

Prior to The Mather Group, Greene was the VP of Marketing for both 1-800-PACK-RAT and Zippy Shell where he was responsible for all marketing including online, offline, and the launch of national television campaigns. Prior to 1-800-PACK-RAT, Greene was the Vice President of Member Services for Shop.org where he oversaw membership recruitment and retention initiatives. Additionally, Greene collaborated with NRF’s government relations staff to execute policy and advocacy strategies on behalf of Shop.org members. He also served as a liaison to Shop.org’s Policy Advisory Group, developed industry initiatives, and managed Shop.org’s Ray M. Greenly Scholarship fund.

Greene joined Shop.org from Discovery Communications, where he was director of online marketing and business development. At Discovery, Greene oversaw online marketing, direct response television, corporate gifting, and partner programs for DiscoveryStore.com. Prior to Discovery Communications, Greene was director of e-marketing for Time Warner Cable and director of e-marketing for Road Runner. He’s been a frequent speaker at industry events including ad:tech, SES, Channel Advisor’s Catalyst conference, and others.

The UVa Northern Virginia Center, located at 7054 Haycock Road in Falls Church, is easily accessible from I-495, I-66, Route 7, and is adjacent to the West Falls Church Metro (orange line).

Travel by Car

From I-495: Take Exit 47B Route 7 East for 2 miles, passing under Route 66. Turn left at the next major traffic light onto Haycock Road. At the next traffic light, turn left onto the access road for the West Falls Church Metro Station. The building is on the left. Follow signs for University parking.

From I-66: Exit onto Route 7 East towards Falls Church. Turn left onto Haycock Road. turn left onto the access road for the West Falls Church Metro Station. The building is on the left. Follow signs for University parking.

From Route 7 East: Turn left onto Haycock Road.At the next traffic light, turn left onto the access road for the West Falls Church Metro Station. The building is on the left. Follow signs for University parking.

Travel by Metrorail

Take the Orange Line to the West Falls Church Station. Walk approximately 200 yards from the Metro lobby, across the parking lot. For route and fare information, visit www.wmata.com

Travel by Bus

MetroBus and the Fairfax Connector make stops at the West Falls Church Metro Station. Route information may be obtained from Metro at 202.637.7000 or the Fairfax Connector at 703.339.7200.

Parking

Parking is $4.85 per weekday, cash or credit. Parking is free on weekends. If the University parking lot is full, please use the Metro parking lot across the street. A SmarTrip Card is needed to exit the Metro lot. To purchase a SmarTrip Card, visit http://www.wmata.com/fares/smartrip/
