mLearning Workshop at the ADL Co-Laboratory

August will present an opportunity for Learning Technology SIG members to come together for an onsite workshop. Participants in this workshop will get a strategic overview of the many areas you will need to address to successfully develop an m-Learning initiative, and then implement it.
In this session, you will learn:
- The potential uses and opportunities with mobile learning
- The potential opportunities to solve some of your training needs
- About several success stories

Novice- and intermediate-level participants, with a beginning knowledge of mobile learning, who are ready to implement a first initiative or examine opportunities.
Judy Brown, Mobile Learning Lead, ADL
Judy Brown retired in 2006 as the Emerging Technology Analyst in the Office of Learning and Information Technology at the University of Wisconsin System. In early 2000, she founded and was Executive Director at the UW System of the Academic ADL Co-Lab with the U.S. Department of Defense. Judy has been involved in technology for learning for over 25 years, and with mobile learning since 1996. She now works entirely in the mobile learning area with government, corporations, and schools.
Currently back with the ADL, Judy works on the ADL Immersive Learning Technologies Team leading mobile learning and on the Army Education Advisory Committee.
Jason Haag, Mobile Learning Analyst, ADL
Jason Haag's interest and background is in learning technology and standards. Jason spent eight years supporting the U.S. Navy in both engineering and management roles before joining the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative. He currently provides Systems Engineering and Technical Analysis (SETA) support for the ADL, sponsored by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OUSD P&R). As a member of the ADL Emerging Technologies (ET) team, he primarily focuses on Mobile Learning (mLearning), mobile device platforms and technology, and best practices for implementation. He also provides direct support and analysis on SCORM and the ADL Registry for ADL.
