As a Senior Consultant for the Leadership, Management and Professional Skills practices for Management Concepts, Catherine researches and develops the practice’s strategic products and services. In May 2010, Catherine was elected President of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) Potomac Chapter. She is a sought after conference speaker on learning technologies and games that teach. She has presented at the ASTD Maryland Chapter, the Training Officer’s Consortium, the North American Gaming and Simulation and Gaming Association (NASAGA) and the George Mason Innovations in E-learning Symposium. Catherine has a special interest in intercultural communication and proudly served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Romania from 1995 to 1997.
Ciaran is a Senior ISD/Business Process Owner for Sales for Aerotek. He serves as an internal consultant and a business process owner to the field, corporate departments, and the technology team; helping them to effectively drive business initiatives and improve performance.
After graduating from Clarion University, Ciaran was a Special Education teacher, award winning high school coach, and teacher trainer for 17 years in Howard County, Maryland. Following his teaching career he started a sea kayak business, where he instructed, guided, and ran corporate events for more than 4 years. While running his business, Ciaran was also a part time stay at home dad and received his Masters Degree from UMBC in Instructional Systems Design, winning the Outstanding Student award for the ISD program. He has been working for Aerotek for 4 1/2 years.
Jim Rich is the principle of Rich & Associates a Washington D.C, area firm that specializes in instructional design activities. Jim has spent a career in publishing, working with imaging technology, course development, teaching, writing and consulting. He brings years of expertise in converting classroom knowledge into practical applications. Jim holds a Masters of Art degree in Instructional System Development from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
