The Metrics of Leadership

Of the hundreds of leadership models, almost all of them attempt to identify the qualities or behaviors or expectations of what defines leadership; almost none describe leadership in terms of results, which is what leaders get paid to produce.  This presentation will lead participants through a metrics methodology that focuses on the results of their own leadership roles and describe these results to know when they have been a successful leader.

Purpose: To create metrics (qualitative and quantitative) that describe the unique leadership results expected of a specific leader in a specific environment to achieve specific results.

Objectives: As a result of this presentation, participants will be able to:

1.      Described the 3Ms –Measure, Manage, Magnify methodology of performance metrics

2.      Identify their own leadership Key Value Areas

3.      Measure the proportionate value of these specific qualities of leadership

4.      Describe the specific results these qualities should produce

5.      Distinguish between four standards of performance for these results
