Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Training Specialist to join our team in the Springfield, VA area. Our team provides support to our U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) customer as they fulfill their mission to guard our Nation’s borders, safeguard the homeland and protect the American public against terrorists.

    General Responsibilities

    • To support the design, development and delivery of instructional materials, Instructor-led, Webinar, and Web-based training
    • Experience as an Instructional Systems Designer on a course development team consisting of Project Manager, Instructional Designers, Graphic Artists, Technical Writers, Subject Matter Experts, and Quality Assurance Personnel
    • Develop Web-based Training and materials using the Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Captivate, Web and SharePoint
    • Demonstrate ability to analyze needs and product requirements to create instructional materials
    • Learn and follow ManTech’s project standards; suggest improvements; understand 508 and SCORM requirements for projects, adhere to corporate/industry standards, and comply with federal regulations/client requirements

    Required Qualifications

    • 7+ years of Instructional Systems Design experience
    • Excellent technical writing skills
    • Experience and understanding of Agile Methodology and associated tools and resources
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Experience developing courseware using authoring tools to include Adobe Cloud, Adobe Captivate, and RoboHelp
    • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions of work related material
    • Ability to develop materials by investigating user interfaces (UI), independent of SME assistance.
    • Knowledgeable of Performance Based Learning Objectives and The Kirkpatrick Model
    • Strong customer service skills and experience 
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently
    • BS/BA Degree

    • Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems 
    • Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
    • Ability to effectively organize and manage time


    Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Background Investigation.
