    SUMMARY:  The Talent & Organizational Development Specialist is primarily responsible for designing/developing (40%*) and delivering (40%*) learning solutions.  The incumbent also assists with organizational development project planning and coordination efforts (15%*). Lastly, the incumbent will participate in self-development and department teambuilding activities (5%). This is a dynamic role for a utility player that requires exceptional written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work well both autonomously and within a team. The Talent & Organizational Development Specialist will demonstrate values that are consistent with the values and mission of Dominion National.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: 

    • Assist with organizational and project specific needs assessments by consulting with business partners, documenting needs and recommending solutions.
    • Design engaging and creative content including but not limited to objectives, scenarios, metaphors, foundational content, instructions, practice activities and assessments based on research and consultation with subject matter experts.
    • Develop workshop training materials, job aids, user manuals, employee newsletters and other dynamic and interactive learning solutions.
    • Develop interactive and responsive eLearning modules as well as videos.
    • Deliver and facilitate blended training workshops (in person and virtual).
    • Serve as the LMS Administrator by setting up courses, sessions and new users in the LMS. This also involves retrieving reports as well as leading users and content audits.
    • Plan, manage and coordinate workshop training logistics including but not limited to reserving conference rooms as well as setting up and restoring rooms to their initial state.
    • Assist with company documentation efforts including enhancing and coordinating efforts to maintain the company knowledge base. This may include facilitating business sessions, establishing and implementing the process for content gathering and publishing.
    • Design and administer training surveys.
    • Prepare presentations decks, spreadsheet analyses and other documents to present new concepts and findings.
    • May coordinate with vendors as needed.
    • Assist T&OD Sr. Manager with other Talent & Organizational Development projects and activities such as onboarding redesign project, strategic planning sessions and much more.
    • Assist T&OD Sr. Manager with creating, planning and coordinating change management strategies and carry out associated tasks.
    • May assist with staff coaching efforts.
    • Track and report projects statuses via established department dashboard tools.
    • Participate in collaborative sessions and other internal training efforts to brainstorm on process improvement efforts and improve industry as well as improve company knowledge and skills.
    • Participate actively in the team-building efforts of the T&OD team including leading discussions during team meetings.
    • Provides assistance on the design of employee engagement program curriculums and assessments.
    • Demonstrates and maintains a positive and open-minded demeanor and welcoming approach when engaging with team members as well as internal and external clients.
    • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information related to employee performance and other related matters.
