This domain of practice embodies the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by professionals to ensure talent development is a primary mechanism driving organizational performance, productivity, and operational results.
This chapter leadership has been so creative in keeping the ATD Capability Model in the forefront: linking each chapter event to specific capabilities and now setting up a forum to promote discussions. A great way to promote the Capability Model and to educate members about the Model.
I choose to write this on the Organizational Capability forum because it occurred to me that we could apply this to our own chapter and how we are increasing the knowledge and skills of our members. (submitted by a co-lead of the Leadership Development CoP)
Thanks for highlighting this topic. I believe that linking our learning events to the ATD Capability model is an added benefit with twofold, a) provides learners with a tool to focus, select and track their learning based on needed areas of improvement, and b) allows learning organizers to ensure inclusion of all capabilities throughout the year.
